Learning Intention: to use descriptive vocabulary in a sentence
Success Criteria: choose a natural or man made object in the woods e.g tree stump / bench
use your 5 senses to best describe the object.
Pupils work in pairs to find an object and describe it.
Pupils choose one adjective to include in a sentence with their object e.g The tree stump is rough.
Pupils record their sentence on a whiteboard and leave their board next to an object.
Pupils move to an object/board that isn't their own and up level the sentence adding 1 more adjective. e.g The brown tree stump is rough
Pairs must edit at least 3 boards.
Re- group children together to read aloud sentences from a range of different objects. Discuss sentences against the success criteria for feedback.
